By bicycle

From Antwerp, follow the Boterlaarbaan past the intersection with the Ruggeveldlaan until the gentle bend to the right. There, just before the hairdresser’s (‘New Generation’), turn left. After 100 m the road narrows. Turn left (Peter Benoitlaan) and then take the sharp left onto the sand path. De Verscholen Tuin, number 15, is the first small farmhouse on your left.

By tram and bus

From Berchem Station

Take tram 8 towards PR-Wommelgem. Get off at the stop “Van Riel”. Cross the Ruggeveldlaan and follow it to the left in the direction of the motorway bridge. Just before the bridge, turn right onto the Peter Benoitlaan. After 500 m, take the first street on your right. Number 15 is at the end on the right, directly opposite the entrance to the allotment garden parking area.

From Linkeroever and Central Station (underground Astrid Station)

Take tram 9 towards Silsburg. Get off at the terminus Silsburg, near the Albert Heijn supermarket. Enter the Van Strijdoncklaan (turn left along the Albert Heijn) and follow it until the gentle bend to the left (800 m). At the hairdresser’s ‘New Generation’, cross the street and turn right into the Boterlaarbaan. After 100 m, pass through the narrowing and turn left into the Peter Benoitlaan.

From Central Station
(above ground at Astridplein)

Take trams 4 or 24 towards Silsburg. Get off at the terminus Silsburg. Follow the same route as for tram 9.

Bus information

Buses 420 and 421 depart from Berchem Station. They take you to the stop “Peter Benoitlaan” on the Van Strijdoncklaan, close to the hairdresser’s ‘New Generation’. From there it’s a 2minute walk to your destination.

By car

From the Antwerp Ring, take the E313/A21 towards Liège/Eindhoven. At exit 18 (Wommelgem roundabout), follow the direction Mortsel. At the second traffic lights, turn right onto the Herentalse Baan. After 100 m there is another set of lights. Continue straight ahead (Van Strijdoncklaan). After 500 m there is a gentle bend to the left. Turn right there (Boterlaarbaan). Drive 100 m and turn left into the Peter Benoitlaan. You can park in the public parking area at the allotment gardens, directly opposite De Verscholen Tuin.

Parking is free only on Sundays and every day after 7 p.m.
At other times, payment is required. A full day costs about 4 euros.
